SOLVED: Help please to identify these

I would really like some help in identifying the following 2 songs. I am participating in a friendly email competition, all the songs have something to do with geography.This first one is by an Australian artist: "Sitting on the (???) Road, I'm so drunk and the car won't go". What road is he on, what is the name of the song and who wrote and performed it. Thankyou, thankyou. And if that isn't enough, how about"Miss Daisy your telephone is ringing, no one can ever catch you home" What is the name of the band (I know it's American) and what is the other "D" word that relates to Daisy? It's probably a "D" geography word.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated (I'm currently sitting in equal 5th place and I won't to go up the ladder!!)
