I need to know this song

Ok, all I have are the song lyrics, and I know it was sung very slow.
The song starts off with "Gonna take a greyhound bus as far as half my money will carry me" and the chorus is "That'll be the day when I miss you"
Also, some some other lines are "when Elvis makes a comeback, when the Pope drinks a six-pack".

If anyone can help with who originally wrote this song, and the title, that would wonderful!!!
