please please help me find this gospel song

all I know is that it is a old gospel song more like a testimony than a song, i think it is song by a woman, been some years since i last heard it

it goes something like this: the song talks about a little girl loving church but her father didnt want her to go, but she went on day anyway and once her father found out about it, he bet her so bad and I thing when her mother came home she asked her what happen to her. she told her that her father had bet her for going to church and i think she gave her mother her bloody clothed and started to sing Precious Lord take my hand.

I have been looking for this song for over 1 year now. It is very old and song by Dorothy Norwood. My mom played this every Sunday when I was a child. I asked a member of my church (who has a huge collection of Gospel) about this song (Precious Lord, Take My Hand). She loaned me her cd which had the song on it, but it was a male group.
