What is this song?

The song I am trying to identify is cowboy song with lyrics something like this:

I am not sure who the artist is either. Any help would be appreciated.

I did not find a match for your lyrics. The lyrics of the song "Sioux City Sue" (1945) by numerous artists are similar.

Also, there was a UK group called the Outlaws with Richie Blackmore and in the 1960's they had a song called "Valley of the Sioux". I could not find a sample or lyrics (one source indicated that it was an instrumental).
