Solved: Help me ID Song/Beach Music from the 80s!

Going nuts trying to remember lyrics, song title, and band of rock/beach music song I think in the early 80s. Male singer. The key refrain was "I LOVE YOU" where I and LOVE were 4 beats/count and YOU was 8 beats, thus:
"I (2, 3, 4) LOVE (2, 3, 4) YOU (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) and then was repeated; tempo slowed here a bit then picked up with brass/trumpets stacatto, good bass. Other fragment of lyrics was "Here we go, againnnnnn", then "I love you". I know the whole melody, but hard to hum it in words! PLEASE HELP!
