mid 90's alt rock song/artist needed

Hello,

I hope someone can help me identify this song. I only heard it once, on an alternative rock or college radio station in Denton, TX in 1994 or 1995. It had a prominent bass and kind of grungy guitars. Male singer. mid-tempo? The station was staticky, so I couldn't hear the lyrics very well, but this is my best guess:
