    Default Identify it

Oh boy, I've been looking for this for quite a time now. I have spent several hours using google and Lyric Finders to figure out the title of the song, but it just won't work. I'd EXTREMELY appreciate your help.
Here the facts I can provide:

    Singer: Male
    Genre: Indy/Alternative
Similar bands: Death Cab, Modest Mouse, The Shins,

    Lyrics:
And I miss (or possibly "love") you
wanted to tell you I'm sorry

It also strikes me, that the song isn't that old. Very unlikely released outside this decade.
I know, it's not very much to work with and I don't expect any miracles, but maybe someone knows it per chance.

    Thank you.

Just a wild stab in the dark because I don't know any of the bands you've listed.

    Jonas Brothers - Sorry

It might help if you could describe the song a little. Is it fast paced or slow? Guitar or piano, happy or sad...

    Good luck finding your song.

Thank you for your help, your suggestions aren't correct, but it's going in the right direction.
The song I'm looking for is rather slow paced, not very cheering up and as far as I can recall, a piano was used.
It is significant that there is some sort of a very short break after each line. I can't describe it that well, but you can hear where one line ends and the next begins.
E.g. "And I love you" (very short break) "wanted to tell you I'm sorry".

Thank you very much for the effort, though!

The lyrics and the pauses are similar for Sarah Mclachlan's, "I Love You " but of course the vocals are female.

and I forgot to tell you I love you

Thanks again for your help. The song I am looking for is a little bit more fast paced than your suggestion.
I looked for a (more or less) similar musical style and found this:

    Modest Mouse - Float On

Of course my song is more slowly, but vocals are quite similar.

These vocals sort of sound like Vampire Weekend?

Nooo , but since this a fairly new band , there are not too much lyrics to choose from , it's gotta be one of those (if it is V.W.)

If you mean the Stevie Wonder Song, no, it's unfortunately not it. Always remember, the song I'm looking for is settled in the Indie/Alternative direction.
    Thanks though, again.
