This is wrecking my brain!!

Hi everyone! Okay....I was listening to my town's Top 40/Pop Radio station and they played a song that I had not heard in such a lonnnggg time possibly 5+ years...I was driving so I couldn't write down more lyrics, but the only thing I can remember is "its a brand new thing (dance)..brand new thing (dance)..i put (dance) in parenthesis b/c im not sure if it was dance or thing.."...and i heard it at the very end..it was similar to something from LIT or Barenaked Ladies or Sugar Ray (thought it was them..but i checked all of there songs that received airplay..no luck)...but can someone PLEEEEAAAAAZZZEEE help me..im starting to get a headache...lol..Thanks!
