Default Solved: Newer Song eludes Identification

On vacation in a store, I heard a female vocalist give an Amy Lee-like (of the Rock group Evanescence) effort but warmer maybe sounding a little like Alison Sudol (of A Fine Frenzy).

    -----

    Lyric phrases include:

Seas will rise, cities catch fire, skies are falling.
    Walked a spell with you.
Close your eyes, hand in mine.
    Hold on tight.
    Stay for awhile.

    Chorus or refrain:

In the middle of the night...yes, yes , yes.

    -----

Heard on a store sound system and, I'd say it was rock on the verge of Adult Contemporary.

    Thanks for any ID attempts.

The phrase "Close your eyes, hand in mine" is most prominent and memorable and repeated often enough to be the catch phrase in the song.

I caught the very tail end of the song on a grocery store (in the Midwest) sound system today. So they are playing it as "Adult Contemporary" or "Easy Listening" genre.

Additional lyrics hears: "Distant drums are the beating of a (my?) heart"

    Exclamation Not Solved: Newer Song

lollipopEdit: post moved from double thread to your already existing thread. Please use already existing thread for bumping your question =)
    -------------------------------

Here's what I recall of the Song:

I've heard it on store sound systems and Pop Radio, maybe Adult Contemporary stations, for the past few months.

It starts with a simple strumming electric guitar beat lead-in. Then a seductive-sounding lady sort of sing-songs in a low-volume voice follows. Progressively her range grows through the song revealing a strong feminine voice. The song ends with a "In the middle of the night...yes, yes, yes."

    Other lyric Phrases include:

    ----
Distant drums are the beating heart in my chest.
Seas will rise, cities catch fire, skies are falling.
    Walked a spell with you.
Close your eyes, hand in mine.
    Hold on tight.
    Stay for awhile.
Say it like you want me to.
    ----

The line "I close my eyes, hand in mine" is probably the catchiest most memorable part as is the ending.

Come on this can't be that obscure, even if I can't find it...

I work in at a Publix supermarket in Orlando, FL and hear this song 3-4 times a week over our radio. I've searched and searched for the singer of this song as well and can't find it either. I even tried using my V-Cast Song ID on my cell phone, but even that doesn't know who it's by. Has anyone made any progress on this? Please let me know if you have. I've been trying to figure out who sings this for months now...I'm going crazy lol.
