I've looked everywhere for 2 weeks straight, but no one has been able to identify this song for me. I've asked everywhere, so here goes one more time...
Okay the artist sounds like Five for Fighting or Daniel Powter. The music genre is the same as Five for Fighting. Very soft rock type.
The lyrics I could make out were "I'm heading back east" and "You don't know me".
The singer goes fairly high and then kind of oscillates down in pitch, gradually getting lower. This only happens at the end of two parts in the chorus, both the same rhythmically.
For example: "(high) eeeee (lower) eeeee (lower, shorter) eee (lower, shorter) e"
Really if no one can figure this out, please just post that you can't, instead of leaving it blank. ANY suggestions are appreciated.
