Solved: This is a tough one

I have a song in my head but can't remember who sings it, also I only know what the song is about. Can someone help?

The song is about a guy and a girl that get into a fight he goes to the bar and gets killed and she is at the house and sees the blue lights from the police car in the driveway. it is not a country song.

Please help it is driving me crazy.
