Edit: i dont think the chorus goes exactely like that but it sounded kinda like it, it goes most of the song and occasionally after the chorus there was this da da da

I 'm thinking Curtis Mayfield , they use samples from this singer.

Nope, im afraid its either of them, it was heard last night at a club which was playing hip hop/rap/rnb and I would identify the singer as somebody like usher or something..
