    Question Who did this song?

Hi, I'm a new member here. I'm looking for information on this song. I'm not sure of the name, but the main line in the song goes "I need you girl, don't give up on me". I think it's from the late 60's or early 70's. I heard the song on XM Radio a couple days ago on "XM13 Willies Place" but they didn't tell who the artist was. I found the lyrics to it on a Dean Martin site. I don't think he was the original artist.
Anyone remember this song and who the original artis was? I'd like to find a copy of it.
    Thanks,
    Piano Man

I think the original was made by Jerry Wallace -Don't give up on me ( '73) , you can listen to a sample here:
