I do not know the name

I know only a few words of the lyrics of a song, from, I believe it was from the 1950s or 1960s. Anyone out there has any idea?
Some of the words are:

Like a child, so blue.......

Those are the only words I remember. I can humm the tune to myself but I do not know the name of it. It is a slow, sad song. It is a female voice, almost religious, but I believe it was secular. It may also be English, not American.

"The Minute You're Gone" by Sonny James or Loretta Lynn
