I think, first, it is not a lady but a guy who sings, second, it is not from the 80's but from the early 90's.. have you found it? And it is like this:

This song is neither from Bizarre nor from Blondie.. Good thinking but not! I have both songs and I am pretty sure that is not what maia is looking for (I'm looking for the same song, cannot find it).

Barking Brothers was the version played in the clubs but was sung by Lonnie Gordon as well (not a patch on barking brothers version though!!)
