Can anybody help me with this one? I have the dub over by Ken Boothe but I would like to know who did the original.
Any help would be appreciated:

Everything I found indicates that Ken Boothe wrote and recorded the song, "You're on my Mind" circa 1978. So wouldn't that make him the original artist?
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title
Thanks for checking. But I recall another version that was very popular in Jamaica when I was growing up. And I preferred that one. I know it exists -- I'm not going mad...lol. I can hear it in my head right now, just can't place the singer. He sounds like Solomon Burke....but I know it's not him.
This is so frustrating! Thanks for your help.
The reggae group, The Big Sound has a song called "You're on my Mind".

This should be easy....I know the song...I actually know the song....just can't find the singer....
Making me pull my hair out.
Glad I found this forum....at least now I know I'm not the only one agonizing over a song!
LOL!
OH, thanks again....we have to keep looking....
You may have already done this......
Start looking through albums with your title in them...

I've found another version saved on my computer, by Owen Gray. But it's another reggae version (and I do love reggae) but not in this case...
This actually sounds more like the one I am looking for. Here:

I am convinced that Ken Boothe did not do the original.
Thanks, DJ Max....didn't find it there.....
