Default Solved: Three Recent Songs off Store Sound Systems

I find music many ways. Most frustrating for me is walking into a nice shop and get a whiff of a song on their audio system then being unable to find it on the internet.

Here are three such newer (2008-09) songs I wish IDed:

    1) Female vocalist with the lyric lines: "There are things in my head as I sleep in my bed that do not wither in the morning light" and "we can walk, and if we don't get to that place." This song is slow-paced with no outstanding guitar licks or otherwise. But the "things in my head" line is catchy and the song overall is melodic and melancholy. A couldn't say what music style it is other than Pop.

    2) Female vocalist that has a Pop retro-60's (maybe) sound to it. The main refrain is, "I try to control it Oh-oh, I tried to control it." There is also a line that goes, I think, "Relationship are something complicated." Slightly perky with a teenage edge the singer goes along with a repeated "Control it" sticking in your mind.

    3) The last song has a male singer delivering a definite retro 50-60's quality. Most memorable catch phrase is in the last half of song: "There ain't nothing I can do, there ain't nothing I can dooo-oooo..there ain't nothing I can say."

I'm sure these are long shots but it has worked in the past.

Now is anyone else on the trail of the other two music quests? Here they are again:
