"send it in a letter" or maybe "stay up all night"

I heard this song while working out in the gym the other day but I don't know who it is. I haven't really heard it on the radio, but I've heard it before. I want to say early 2000's. Some of the lyrics might have been "stay up all night" or "send it in a letter". It's sung by one guy and he sings regular speed, but the music has a cool beat to it. As he sings, he gets higher in pitch almost to a Prince high tone. I want to say it sounds like George Micheal but I don't think it is. Any help is much appreciated!

It's actually pretty similar to George Michael's Freedom 90' song.
