Upbeat song by white guy w/ abnormally high pitch

Ok my girlfriend is driving me nuts for 3 days she has been trying to figure out a song and the details she has are vague at best lol! She thinks its fairly recent (past 2 years) She says in the music video the guy is sitting at his home, some kind of rich looking penthouse suite, with really sheer curtains that are shown blowing alot. She says he is a well built stocky kind of rugged looking white guy, and the song is incredibly upbeat tempo, but the theme is about a girl he lost and wants back. She says his voice is super super high pitched like beegees style. Help! Anyone?
