I have been looking for this song for a long time, and haven't ever been able to figure it out. I'm hoping maybe someone else remembers it and can help me with a song title and artist name.

I'm not sure if I have the lyrics exactly right, but here are some pieces that I remember.

The Chorus:

You're in the roof of my mouth
You're on the tip of my tongue
You've come to be all the blood I need
and all the air in my lungs

Some Other Pieces:

... and there's a muffled sound inside my head

... brightest words I'd heard all week

... magazines and I heard you speak

... now the world around you makes a perfect noise

The last time I heard the song was in 1992. I believe it would have been released either in the late 80's, or in 1990-91. I had the album it was on in 1991, but I lost the CD many years ago, and I don't remember the album title or the artist.

I have googled pieces of the lyrics many times, and I have only ever found one reference to the song anywhere on the internet. The reference is here: http://www.flickr.com/people/8398654@N04/ (a piece of the lyrics is listed in the Favorite Music & Artists section). I tried messaging that person at Flickr months ago to ask about it, but never received a reply.
