Solved: Remember this song from summer 2005

Hi,

I heard this song a million times on the radio Charleston, SC in May-June 2005. I want to find it because this is when my husband and I were dating. I looked on all the hit lists from that time, but can't find it! I would REALLY appreciate any help, because I think I'm going insane.

The song starts off with a guy who's supposed to be going to graduation, but instead drives to the beach, where a girl (his girlfriend) is. The words I remember are from the chorus, and go like, "Standing on the beach with the sun coming up" or maybe 'dancing on the beach' and possibly she was sitting or dancing on the hood of his car? I know this is so vague....
