    I think the title is "Jones" but not real sure.
    Some lyrics are: "...trying to stare the ceiling down, trying hard not to care." "Where the redwoods meet the pine." "Jones I guess, that's all." "I am the crippled one." Wait a name came to me, as my dinner boils over: Danny O'Keef?

    Yep.
    after remembering the singers name, i was able to find it was "Just Jones" off his "American Roulette" album. And I had Two songs mixed up. Part of those remembered lyrics go to his "Northern California."
