Default Solved: 1974 song South Florida

Hi, Maybe someone will be able to identify a song which played in south Florida in around 1974. The only lyric I can remember is .....Tamiami. (maybe something like "driving down the Tamiami")
Someone suggested that maybe it was a local Miami/Fort Lauderdale band Tiger Tiger, but I still have googled and still cannot find it.
I have been trying to seek this out for months and came across this wonderful forum and all of the questions you have answered so hopefully someone can answer this one. Thank you so kindly in advance!!

The only songs I can find are "Tamiami" by Bill Haley and His Comets (1960) and "Tamiami Blues" by Sven Van Hees. Both are instrumentals (no lyrics).

Yes I googled it and came up with the Sven Van hees too.
This song was on the same time as Sympathy for the Devil and probably played on WHYI Miami/Ft lauderdale
I contacted a DJ friend from Miami and although he was not working there during that time period, he suggested that it could have been a local native Indian rock group that wrote and sang a lot of songs about (local) locations. The name of the band was Tiger Tiger. However I have also googled the life out of that suggestion too, but to no avail.....I hope I find it, as it was a great song!! It was kind of Allman brothers type of slow rock. Thank you so much for trying though.

Tiger Tiger was first active in 1969 as the group, Sun Country. Attached is a listing of their songs as the group Tiger Tiger which was active in the 1980's and 1990's. You can listen to a 30-second sample of most of their songs (try "River of Grass").

    Default 1974 Florida song

Thank you so kindly for taking the time to help. I believe it is called "tamiami station" and is on a cd called Peace in the Everglades. I look forward to ordering it. I was not aware that this group has been around since 1969. Many thanks again!!
