Default Solved - probably rather old jazzy song

    Hello everybody !

I'm in search of a song I heard a long time ago.
I really wish to hear this song again, it has nice rythm and punch.
I have no idea of the singer I just remind pieces of the lyrics because at the time I tried to decipher it from a tape I lost years ago.

I'm sure part of the lyrics included chicks but I can't remind the sentence -> EDIT I found it and added it to the lyrics !
Here are the pieces of lyrics I remember :

"All you squares(?) you don't dig a style
you just hang around staring(?) all the time
I am a rebell(?) I fall of the roof(?)
    Ain't gonna be nobody's fool

We've got crazy chiks who know what I like
Kisses and (huggs?) (?) all of night
There is a true-drop(?) in town where we always go
Dancing to the rythm of the rock and roll
We like to go there, comes the music's slow"

If anyone recognise this song I'll send him/her thousands of thanks ;-)

Someone posted these lyrics on Youtube...

All you squares, you don't dig the style
You just hang around, staring all the time
You think i'm a fool for the clothes i wear
    Whatever you'd say
    I don't care

'cause I 've got more fun that you will ever have
there ain't just a little thing we could share
I am a rebel don't follow no rules
    ain't gonna be nobody's fool

    I am me folks
    I walk tall
    I'm a cat boys
    I dig the cats noise
For I know the best way to jive is the way that I jive

    Well I know I'm young, I know I'm right
I sleep all day, meow all night
I'm hanging around looking for something to do
something strong just to kick the blues

I'm going uptown and I roam the street
Snappin' my finger and stomping my feet
I love to show off my brand new shoes
I'm just a goin' on the loose

    I am me fools
Well that's the life i choose
    I'm a cat boys
    I dig the cat's noise
For I know the best way to jive is the way that I jive

Each saturday night I join the crew
And we go a boppin' the whole night through
We got crazy chicks, we know what they like
Kisses and hugs and love all night

There's a juke - joint in town where we always go
Dancing to the rythm of the rock'n roll
We love to go there 'cause the music's loud
And there's a sign wich says "no squares allowed"

    Well I'm me folks
    I walk tall
    I'm a cat boys
    I do the cat's walk
For I know the best way to jive is the way that I jive.

    CJane,

    You're very welcome!
