Question help please to identify an old christmas song

    Heya

hoping somebody out there recognises this old christmas tune that I remember from my childhood, grew up in the 70/80's so from sometime before that, we had a single of it (might have been a b-side) was definitely a male singer but more than that can place, been driving us nuts for years and never been able to find it or place it. It's a pretty cheery, happy chrimbo tune and would love at least to be able to name it and the singer the lyrics go somthing like,

    C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S,
Christmas, Christmas thats the time that I love best,
Spring and Summer come along and fade away,
but Christmas Christmas is a very special day.
Greetings from the friends, we know the Carols at the door,
The Holly and the Mistletoe, thats why I adore it so

here;s hoping someone else recognises it

    Default Help!!!!

    Hi Curls

I know this was posted a long time ago but I am also looking for the artist who sang this song. I believe it must have been around the 1960s - 1970's because I also remember all the words but cannot find the record?? I believe it may have been a 'b-side' to a record which I used to sing with my younger brother who also remembers it. I thought it was Max Bygraves with a backup group of children but have searched and still can't find it!!!!
It's driving my family nuts as I keep going on about it!! Did you find out who it was???? PLEASE LET ME KNOW if you did and I can sleep peacefully!!!

    Many thanks.

The attached link has Max Bygraves' song, "C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S." but I don't believe it's the one you want.

...and we can also eliminate "Christmas Christmas" by Cheap Trick
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

I can confirm that this was a big hit in our house throughout my childhood Christmas and still is. It was a double A side released by Max Bygraves as follows: Christmas/White Christmas. it was released on Lantern a records in 1965, release Lyn792. I still have the record but have struggled to find it in any other format online. I even messaged Max's son a few years ago in an effort to find it but he said Max recorded so many it would be nearly impossible to find. I have the record still bug no MP3 or any other electronic format. I love the song, it's so wonderful. Hope this helps.

    Hi

I would like to thank you so much for replying to my message which I am happy to say has now resulted in me finding and purchasing the record of my long lost Christmas song by Max Bygraves which I have been singing for many years. Everyone in my family thought I had made it up as they have been searching for years but I never gave up and it must have been fate that a work colleague happened to ask what I was looking for and typed in the lyrics I sang and this site came up (which I had contacted a year ago) with your new message which I couldn't believe. I have purchased a record player and can't wait to play this record on Christmas Day and to see the look on my families faces as I knew the song word for word with even the reindeer at the end - the only reason I couldn't find it was that I didn't remember the exact artist (although all along I thought it was Max Bygraves) I had to guess the year but didn't know the title. How simple it was to find when I had all the details you sent me!!!! Thanks once again - and a Very Happy Christmas and New Year to you. This song brings back lots of memories!! Thanks again.
