    Default 80's soul

I have been trying to find a song that has the lyrics as best as I can remember something like this in one verse:

Didn't you ever learn, when you play with fire you get burned...
Maybe one day, she is going to have to hurt you, break your heart and leave you for another..
I thought it was perhaps someone like Kashif but that doesen't seem to be the case.
    Any input appreciated!
    Thanks!

Sounds similar to 'What Katy Did Next' by the Babyshambles - they're not 80's soul though......

There's a song called "Play with fire (and you'll get burned)" By Morris Levy, Richard Grasso, Daniel Cohen & Gary Illingsworth.

Morris Levy produced R&B records but I cannot find a reference to anyone that recorded the above song.

Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

    Thanks for the replies!
Certaintly not Mr D as he would have been in nappies then! Probably sounded better then mind!
Of course the "playing with fire" lyric is probably not the title as I recall it being in a verse rather than a chorus.
Bit problematic when you can't remember either the arist or the song but just a fragment!
