not much to work with here and my description may be a little off since I could barely hear the song, but I heard it in a grocery store, so think late 70s to early 90s lite music. it sounded mostly piano driven the singer seemed to be a black man with a husky sounding voice with a kind of neil armstrong quality to it.

the only line I could make out was at least something similar to: "I want to love you mo' (read: more)" repeated in the chorus 4 times.

the melody of the above lyric for those of you that know music was something close to:
A A B C C B C in A minor 7 and C major.
