Talking SOLVED "So Far Away, So Far Away" Last 2 lyric lines.

    Greetings All....

I heard a song on Alternative Rock radio station ….
But only caught lyrics for the last 2 lines which are:.

    “So far away”
    “So far away”

Male singer very laid back…. The song kind of reminds me of “Low” by Cracker .
I’ve heard it before so it can’t be really new.

I checked out lyrics on Google and Yahoo, but nothing there that checked out on You Tube so I have a feeling it’s not part of the title.

    It is not :
Staind, Crossfade, Social Distortion, Stabbing Westward, Fuel, Bamboo, Nine Days, Ignite, or Keating Ronan.

Hey, Thanks for trying….I’ve included a sound byte of the last 2 lines of the song.

    Hey Fence Sitter.

Good to see you're still out there.....but no, none of those. Thanks for trying.
I don't think So Far Away is in the title...Google really sucks on Lyric searches now days.

It sounds very similar to this......."Low" - Cracker

I am assuming the lead vocals are male and the song is recent (last ten years).

    Try "Far Away" by Nickelback
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

OOPS ! I thought I added Nickleback to my original post....but guess I forgot.

Thanks Atmaster for the try, that one would have been too easy.

This is more of a 90's sound like Stone Temple Pilots.

    Definately Male.

I have a bit of difficulty comparing vocals and styles.

Anyhow lets cross a few more off the list.

A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran (sounds way different)

Steve Winwood - Other Shore (sounds different)

Guns N Roses - Paradise City (sounds way different)

I didn't listen to any of these:

    Boyzone -So Far Away

    Brokencyde - Candylane

    DAVID BOWIE - LITTLE WONDER

Dave Aude and Tall Paul - Common Ground (Featuring Sisely Treasure)

    Thanks again FS.

    But still not there.

"So Far Away, So Far Away" is the Last line of the lyrics. That's how the song ends....I wish I knew what they were singing about that's "So Far Away, So Far Away".

Oh well. I'm interested, so I'll see if there any other method to find different results.

Yes, that phrase as the last vocal, is what I was looking for. All did apart from Guns N Roses which had a couple of different versions or simply listed "chorus" as the last verse. I threw that in, just in case the station cut it off after half way into the song.

Really puttig me to work here Atmaster...LOL

I've found and checked most of these but couldn't find the Goo Goo Dolls anywhere.

Still no luck. I'm pretty sure searching for those lyrics isn't going to turn up anything.

    Thanks as always......Maxx

Hmm the search continues. I thought I'd found something new, jonesin had the right lyrics, but atmaster beat me to it. :-)

The next possibility even sounds laid back.

Donavon Frankenreiter - "So far away"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9VlHve1pTw

I couldn't find a sample I could listen to, so I have no idea what genre the song is, but the artist is listed as indie.

Michael J. Downey "Can't find my way"

I Couldn't find a sample or idea of genre.

    Tears Of A Phoenix -"Memories"

Donavon Frankenreiter....love the name and the music and this is about as close as I've heard to the song I'm looking for but alas....Not it.

I've never heard of Tears Of A Phoenix but I'm pretty sure this is a Group "name" that I will recognize.

I didn't find Joesin', but 40 Below Summer is way too heavy a band and I'm sure it isn't them. It's going to be a group that gets airplay and has probably been in the Top 40 in the past.

You guys are awesome for all the help....Thanks and

    HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Well, I just turned on the radio and there it was. This time I got a few more lyrics.

    "Voodoo" - Godsmack

No idea why the line "So far away" will not bring up this song on any searches. It's the main line and repeated throughout the song.

    Glad you found it.

Yes the "search" ability of search engines has been toned way down from about 2004. "They" blame the rate of the expanding web, but ...
