I'm hoping someone can put me out of my misery with this one.
I'm convinced that in the early 90's there was a dance version of Leonard Cohen's Suzanne" that was sung by a female.
The song sounded like a mix of Soul II Soul's "Keep on Moving" and perhaps Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner".
At the beginning of the song it starts off with "
