Smile Two songs from the 50s(or 60s)

Hi! I bought my grandpa a reel tape recorder as a bday present, and while listening to his collection of tapes I got hooked on a few unknown melodies, particularly this one:

The quality is poor, but you can easily understand the lyrics, however I googled all of it and didn't get anything at all. If someone could help me identify the song and the woman singing it...

The second song I'm struggling with is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?dnmnn4t2tzw
I know it's called "Waterloo" and was first performed by Stonewall Jackson in 1959, but who are the guys singing it on the tape? They're great!

    Any help will be appreciated!

"Waterloo" was written by John D. Loudermilk and he recorded some of his own songs.

Also try a group called Greenhorns which recorded the song "Waterloo" in the late 60's to early 70's. The attached link will let you listen to a 30-second sample of their version.

Other artists that covered this song include Ferlin Husky, Sonny James, Billy Mize, Sandy Nelson and Faron Young.

That 1st song is great and can't be sure but it sounds a lot like Doris Day.

Well you're not alone in that department, that's who I thought might have sung it, but wasn't able to turn much up through google.

My hat is off to you. I could not find a thing trying to match the few lyrics I could hear to a song by Doris. Thanks for solving the mystery.
