Solved: please help me !!

hello to you all...i am desperately trying to find out the name of a song/house tune, that still gets played in the bars and clubs.i live in the uk although ive heard this tune in a few european countries.
i do emphasize that this tune is played alot in the house scene.its a very uplifting, diva sounding tune,sung by a female...
i will try my best with the lyrics but im not 100 %....here goes

it starts a little like so "i defy....any little claim that im...in con-trol..." the chorus like so "i was so right, so right...ohh ohh oh oh...laaaa la la"

if any can help from this, i would very much appreciate your input
