I saw a new commercial promoting the new seasons of "I Shouldn't Be Alive" & "Deadliest Catch", the song playing in the background was cool.

It was a rock/alternative ballad with a female singer. I only was able to hear two of the lines:

- "Only time can turn against us, Cause without you I am helpless."

- "Only time can turn against us, So I run to you."

It would seem that nobody knows this one.

I saw it the same place too! It's by a group called CUE11. The song was recorded for Discovery and they own the rights to it. However, since there was such a rave from viewers the singer has agreed to come back a record a full length version. Check out the community area on discovery.com. They are going to make it available!

I have been searching forever as well (most lyrics search sites blow!). My daughter and I are so grateful for your knowledge and that you posted it.

For those looking for the group, I'm pretty sure* that this is the right place. I couldn't find the specific song on their site, but I am not terribly surprised by that and it seems like the right type of place, given LacunaCobra's description.

I then looked all over Discovery.com for their community section. I finally resorted to Google, putting in the string "Discovery.com community", and found their forums. There are a few threads in both the Deadiest Catch and I Shouldn't Be Alive boards relating to this song (and apparently a couple elsewhere.) The most helpful thread I found was this. The copied and pasted reply (to at least one of a deluge of emails and requests and possibly even phone calls) promising a fuller version of this most wonderful and, as I have found out in the past thirty minutes, popular of commercial soundtracks is at the bottom of the third page, and I have pasted it here:

After we saw all your posts, we went back to CUE11 and asked them to bring back Amanda, the singer, to record the full version of the song.

We'll make it available online in the coming weeks.

As of yet, I have not found any such song on the web site. I know something of the amount of production time it could take to write, arrange, record and produce a fuller version of the song, and so I patiently and eagrely await its arrival.

It's called "Run To You"

they have the full and instrumental versions...

Does anyone know if you can get the song from any other site, or who actually sings it. You can listen to it at the CUE11 site but not download it.

ok, there is probably a way to download this song on the website because it says "Click "listen" to open the song in the music player, or "get rate/download" to download the song (you can skip licensing if you want)."

But who knows what "get rate/download" means?

I don't know how to do it....

Well, I wasn't able to figure out how to "actually" dl it from their site...so I did the next best thing and ripped the song. Quality wise it's fine, will keep everyone happy until they actually allow an official download. Enjoy ^_^

In my opinion, mp3 > Ogg Vorbis > Windows Media Player. I'd much rather have it as posted above.

Well Having in your computer hardrive allow you to keep the song forever. There maybe little difference in sound quality when I recorded it depending on sound software.
