Need title and artist for R&B slowjam old school

Please help, this is a very slow song that i know was made at least before 1989
it sounds a lot like sheena easton or teena marie but i didnt see it under them.. all i can remember is something like "everytime i see your eyesssss(drawn out)) touch me hold me, evertime i see your smileeeee(drawn out) touch me hold me"

I may not be exact on that but its all i can remember from this old ballad that a lady sings.. thanks for reading.
