Solved: Any help with this song will be appreciated

Would be great if anyone could help me find this track! all i can remember are the lyrics 'dont run away i love you too much, dont run away .......... it is a very 'skippy' song and i remember it was on a record with a blue label. It used to be a song my mum liked and all she can remember is it was a one hit wonder and maybe someone from a tv show??? oh and its a guy who sings it and its from the 80's
