late 80s (probably) hiphop lyrics - obscure

Ive had this one song going round in my head on and off for years, tried all sorts of google and youtube permutations with no luck despite knowing a chunk of the lyrics and chorus
It goes...

I be diggin...in my mind
writing rhymes with a pencil

The chorus is a sort of sung rnb and goes something like..

Ooh oh ooh oh you know your gonna be mine
Repeated then ends with: gonna f*** with your mind.
