Can't Remember the Song Title or Artist..80's?

I can't remember the title of the song or the artist, but I think it came out in the 80's. It was
sort of a jazz/r and b group.

The lyrics included: You know, ask yourself, what's going on. Make the most of all you do.. it's up to you.

It might have had Children of the World before the above lyrics, not sure. I have the melody in my head and would love to find it.
