Oh well... I don't really know the song, but I read the chorus, and I think it's about an unsecure boy. He "vuole bene" to the girl but he's not sure that his affection could be love.
That's what I thaught reading the chorus :-)
To tell you the truth even if I'm Italian I don't listen to Italian music... I prefer Türçe or Israeli :-P

I don't believe that 'grudge' and 'rancore' mean the same thing exactly, 'resentment' is more close to what rancore means

As Lady_A said the IO pronoun is an implied pronoun (I'm Italian, I know what I'm saying...).

Furthermore, rancore is literally and semantically "grudge". Resentment is correclty translated as risentimento, and vice versa risentimento is correctly translated as resentment.
Rancore is a strong feeling of anger, just like grudge.
