I'm still trying to figure out other singers in the style of Andrea Bocelli that you may like. For now I can only think of Alessandro Safina, but I'm not exactly an expert on Italian music

Mmmmhhh... that's a very difficult question. You know, the 3 songs in Spanish sung by Andrea Bocelli were composed by Mexicans, so I've been listening to them from time immemorial and I quite like hearing them when I'm in a romantic or nostalgic sort of mood. If you're interested in knowing more songs by the same composers their names are Consuelo Velazquez, Armando Manzanero and Maria Grever (many different singers have recorded their songs).

Those songs sung by Bocelli also remind me a lot of an earlier CD recorded by Plácido Domingo, where he also sings popular and very traditional Latin American tunes. The CD is called “From my Latin Soul”, and a few years ago he made yet another CD in the same style, it’s called “Quiereme mucho”. I reckon you may like them...

I also like pop, rock, grounge, salsa, classical, cumbia, merengue, etc. And in the last few months I have developed a very strong feeling and like of Arabic music. So, adding all the different music genres in existence, my favorite songs are far toooooo many I'm afraid!

so what do u hear from arabic songs coz there is alot
i just wanna know which singers do u know ...
the difference between the arabic songs & other is in the deep meanings of arabic language & the accent betwwen the arabic countrys .... although the greatest meanings in the gulf ( saudi...kwait..etc) but not all people can listen to them u know they have their own style ... so most poeple listen to egyption & libanon songs
am glade that i can understand arabic songs in thier different accents ...
but now am trying to learn turkish & italian

Well, I reckon I belong to the mainstream. My 3 favorite Arab singers are Assi El Helani, Ragheb Alama and Amr Diab (I prefer much more male voices). I also quite like some music by Nancy Ajram, Najwa Karam, Latifah, Samira Said, Elissa, Fares Karam, Tamer Hosny and Ramy Ayash. And I like a few songs by the likes of Fadl Shaker, Cheb Khaled, Cheb Mami and Shereen.

From the Khaliji performers I like a couple of songs by Hussein Al Jasmin, Kathem El Saher, Nabil Shouail and Majed El Mohandes. (Does the fact that they were born in the Gulf countries make them automatically "Khaliji" style singers?)

Of course I also know the super classic performers like Oum Kolthoum, Fairuz and Abdel Halim Hafez.

I know a few other Arab artists whose music I don't like much at all. But I'm not telling their names

And I'm sure there's still loads and loads to discover!

Well, I'm not a native speaker of Italian, but if I can help you somehow in your quest please let me know.

i dont prefer some one exactly but it depeneds on my mood
so i cant explain... i hear different kinds of music & style
but u know what?
maybe it`s easy to tell what is the favourite songs more than telling u my best singer coz sometimes they are good song for not popular singer...

No, I'm not Arabic. I'm Mexican. And so far I have never lived in an Arabic speaking country, but maybe I will one day

I've bought a couple of mp3 cds of Arab music on ebay. And I also came across some of those singers by watching youtube. As I started liking the music I kept looking for more and more... and I just can't have enough of it! I love it so much that I have started trying to learn the Arabic language (sort of crazy, I know )
