I realize that Italian music isn't known very much abroad, but listening to Franco Battiato and Albano at the same time is something like loving Michelangelo's sculptures as much as puppets made by a little child with junk picked up from the road.
It would be time to explain that good Italian music has nothing to do with Albano, Ricchi e Poveri, Eros Ramazzotti, Toto Cutugno, Laura Pausini, Adriano Celentano, people who sing at San Remo's festival and other crap of this kind... :-(

Yes, you are right. Like Italy, in Iran we have very good original singers too, but young pop singers always are most popular.
I prefer Old Italian songs, but always listen to new songs and singers to know today Italian songs taste and style.

volevo scusarmi per il mio intervento a proposito della musica italiana. Sono stato arrogante e intollerante: bisogna rispettare tutti i gusti.
A proposito del Persiano: sai che Battiato è un esperto non solo di lingua e cultura araba ma anche persiana?
Credo che il suo pensiero più profondo sia molto vicino alla tradizione Sufi.
Se ti serve qualche altra traduzione chiedi pure, nei limiti del mio tempo libero sarò lieto di contribuire (così mi esercito un po' con l'inglese) :-)
Per quanto riguarda un certo tipo di musica italiana... ti consiglio Vasco Rossi, se ti piace il rock.

No need for apologize. I’m very glad that see the someone, who knows different between Arab and Persia. :-)

My friend tells me that maestro Battiato very interested to east cultures and Islamic theosophy. He sings a song with an Iranian woman and has a song about Iran revolution and Mr. Khomeini, too!

Thank you for your help but rock is not my favorites; however I listen to it sometimes. I prefer to understand maestro Battito songs, these days ;-)
