Default Early 60's Hit

There was a hit in the early 60's that started out, I hear music, let me in, I want to be your friend, Let me in.............................. I think it was sung by a woman with a high sort of falsetto voice. I thought it might be Sue Thompson, but I can't find a title or artist anywhere for it. Any suggestions?

Default unknown as yet

I have even remembered most of the lyrics but I don't remember the formal name or performer.

pitter patter on the floor
open up, let me in, why don't you open up the door
I hear music, let me in, I want to hear it again
let me in, I thought you were my friend.
wee-oo, wee-oo, oo-wee-oo

Default let me in

TITLE: LET ME IN
The Sensations (a/k/a Yvonne and the Sensations)
Words and Music by Yvonne Baker
Topped out at # 4 in 1962

Let me in whee-ooh (whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoop-whee-ooh)
(Whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh, whee-ooh)

I can see the dancin' (let me in)
The silhouettes on the shade
I hear the music (music), all the lovers on parade
Open up (let me in), I wanna come in again
I thought you were my friend
Pitter patter of those fee-ee-ee-ee-eet
Movin' and a-groovin' with that be-eat
Jumpin' and stompin on the flo-o-o-o-oor
(Lemme in) Let me in!
(Open up) Open up!
Why don't you open up that door? (let me in)

I-uh (open up) hear music let me in (music)
I wanna come in again
Let me in (let me in), a-well I heard it just then
I thought you were my friend

(Whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoop-whee-ooh)
(Whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh, whee-ooh)

Pitter patter of the fee-ee-ee-ee-eet
Movin' and a-groovin' with that be-eat
Jumpin' and stompin on the flo-o-o-o-oor
(Lemme in) Let me in!
(Open up) Open up!
Why don't you open up that door? (let me in)

I-uh-I-uh-I (open up) hear music, let me in (music)
Oh I heard it just then
Let me in (let me in)
I wanna come in again
I thought you were my friend

(Whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoop-whee-ooh)
(Whee-ooh, whee-ooh, hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh)
(Hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh) (Hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh)
FADE
(Hoo-ooh-oop-whee-ooh)

(added sunday) you can hear the song at: THE SMITTEN IMAGE: WEE-OOO, WEE-OOO, (I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND) if you can get past the dog barking.

Hope this helps. John
