there's a confusing characteristic in Arabic which is, hatra3i (هتراعي) can mean:
    1- you (m) will respect
    2- you (f) will respect
    3- she will respect

did u think about that? that's why i didn't mention the subject pronouns in the quiz, to see if u r gonna get them all or not

so in Arabic, a verb can refer to more than 1 pronoun, to end this kind of confusion:
1- u either mention the subject pronoun
    2- give more context

here's a funny example that shows this confusion, person A is talking to person B about his girlfriend (person A's girlfriend):
A: Ana we sa7beti afsheen. (I and my girlfriend r mad with each other)
    انا وصاحبتى قافشين
    B: Leh? (Why?)
    ليه؟
    A: Ya3ni, 7war keda. (There's an issue)
    يعنى حوار كده
    B: Eh elli 7asal ya3ni? (What happened?)
    ايه اللى حصل يعنى؟
    A:
Hato5no2ni. (She made me sick and tired)
    هتخنقنى
    B: Ana? (Me?)
    انا؟
    A: La2 heya. (No, her)
    لا هى

when person A said Hato5no2ni, person B thought person A means him, so he asked Ana? to see if person A means him or his girlfriend, then person A said La2 heya to end this confusion

the verb used is yo5no2 (يخنق) u can conjugate it, it has 2 meanings:
    1- strangle, for example:
5ana2o be eedo. (He strangled him with his hands)
    خنقه بإيده
2- make someone sick and tired, for example:
El telephone da 5ana2ni. (This telephone made me sick and tired/I had enough of this phone)
    التليفون ده خنقنى
    Poor B

You know I have noticed this thing in songs and movies too. Mix up of the subject

but that mistake in the rule proves that i can't be an Arabic teacher
I claim that you can be arabic teacher don't understimate yourself Karim.

    i'm sorry again
No need to say thisYou are the most helpfull here

let's see what CZAREK2581 would say about this rule, i'm a native speaker so i can say things correctly without studying them or following a rule because Arabic is my own language, so let's see how CZAREK2581 studied this rule

I understand that we are talkin' about imperatives here.

I went through this again and reminded what I have learnt found all my notes
Here is what I have ,hope it will be easy now

songlover asu know there are 14 verb forms in Arabic, you must imagine it like this.
One root, 14 ways of adding other letters to the root, in the beginning, in the middle or at the end OR doubling of some of the letters of the root... gives 14 possibilities of verbs with 14 different (but related) meanings, all this with just one root
Of course, not all roots take all 14 patterns, and you will read mostly only about 10 patterns as the last 4 are rarely used.

If we talk about imperatives we should start out with the imperfect form of the verb (المضارع). A few examples:

    STEP 1.

يحط (yiHoTT) to put يمشي (yimši) to go/walk
يروح (yiruuH) to go يفتح (yiftaH) to open

    STEP 2

We should get rid of ي(ya sound) at the beginning

    حط (HoTT) مشي (mši)
    روح (ruuH) فتح (ftaH)

STEP 3is to determine whether you can leave the verb like that or need to add an ا at the beginning.

A)If the verb is like the verbs in the left-hand column (i.e. "HoTT," "ruuH"), and has a consonant followed by a vowel, you leave it alone. This is the correct command form.
B)But if the verb is like those on the right, and has a consonant cluster at the beginning, you can't leave it that way and say "mši" or "ftaH." In Egyptian Arabic, consonant clusters like that aren't allowed at the start of words. So you have to add an ا at the beginning:

    امشي (imši)
    افتح (iftaH)

    حط (HoTT)
    روح (ruuH)

Now we should formulate commands to a woman or to a group
you just add an -i or -u suffix

    ex:

حطي - حطوا (HoTTi - HoTTu) امشي - امشوا (imši - imšu)
روحي - روحوا (ruuHi - ruuHu) افتحي - افتحوا (iftaHi - iftaHu)

    Note:

Note: With defective verbs, where the base verb ends in a vowel (as with يمشي), you get rid of the ending vowel before adding -i or -u. Some more examples:

Step 1 - original verb Step 2 - take out the initial ي Step 3 - masc. command form Step 4 - fem./pl. command form
    يستنّى (yistinna) to wait ستنّى (stinna) استنّى (istinna) استنّي - استنّوا (istinni - istinnu)
يصحى (yiSHa) to wake up صحى (SHa) اصحى (iSHa) اصحي - اصحوا (iSHi - iSHu)
ينسى (yinsa) to forget نسى (nsa) انسى (insa) انسي - انسوا (insi - insu)

    Form 2 verbs (with shadda)
    يغيّر (yiġayyar) to change s.t. غيّر (ġayyar) غيّر (ġayyar) غيّري - غيّروا (ġayyari - ġayyaru)

    Form 3 verbs
    يساعد (yisaa3id) to help ساعد (saa3id) ساعد (saa3id) ساعدي - ساعدوا (saa3idi - saa3idu)

    geminate/doubled verbs

    يبصّ (yiboSS) to look

    hollow verbs

    يسيب (yisiib) to leave

Note: With hamzated verbs that have a long alif right after the initial ي (like ياخد yaaxod and ياكل yaakol), you remove both the inital ي and the long alif in step 2. So the commands for these verbs are خد - خدي - خدوا (xod - xodi - xodu) and كل - كلي - كلوا (kol - koli - kolu).

Note: There are a couple of irregular commands:

    Verb Command forms
جاب - يجيب (gaab - yigiib) to bring هات - هاتي - هاتوا (haat - haati - haatu)
    جه - يجي (geh - yiigi) to come تعالى - تعالي - تعالوا (ta3aala - ta3aali - ta3aalu)

    Thanks Czarek

You remember I told you that I will let you know if I come across more Common Hindi Arabic words, Here's one more I found

The word is Khatir from 3ashan 5ater عشان خاطر

    like in Arabic Khatir
    means (For someone's sake)

    Example -

Meri Khatir = for my sake

Tumhari Khatir = For your sake

Meiney yeh sab tumhari Khatir kiya = I did all this for your sake
    CZAREK2581 and lailahayati like this.

this is what makes Arabic a difficult language in terms of vowels

so yes it's better to study Arabic in Arabic script because it's its own writing system, but when Arabic is written in English letters the issue of vowels will be less disturbing because English doesn't have tashkeel, all vowels r written as letters that r included in the spelling
That's one of the major problems you face while learning Arabic. You know the word but not the correct pronunciation.
So I think the way we have been going till know (both english spelling and Arabic spelling) is the best approach.

why was the o omitted? i have no idea, but this is how it is
Seems like the same vowel sound cannot be on both sides of the consonant like o5o

back to the Present Simple tense, about that when u conjugate a verb u should first get the verb in the full form (with the vowel after the y)

    here's something to add:
    ye = yi
    yo = yu

for example, the verb yel3ab = yil3ab, so the verb stem is el3ab or il3ab, they r the same

the verb yor2os = yur2os, the verb stem is or2os or ur2os, they r the same

so don't let this confuse u
I guess it is pretty clear now and it will help you songlover to pronounce words correctly

You choose the most dififcult words/expressions

    1.
شيخ غفر =I know this word as a @watchman@ or @chief guard@man whose job is to guard a building, for example a bank, an office building or a factory, especially at night
Word غفر =ghafar =to guard ,to watch over
    2.
دهين=well it is not used anymore I guess (it comes from words)
    دا/ده/دي=daa/dah/dee which mean this/this one /that one
It is not used these days.

    3

    جتتى بتتلبش

    جتتي

    this is very tricky brother

The orginal word is جثة=geththa(written with letter tha=ث)
However as you know in Egyptian Dialect letter ث becomes "ت" or "س"
Here it is written in Egyptian Dialect as "getta” amd it means (human body)
تي=as a pronoun relates to "my"

    بتتلبش= lets break it down

    ب+ت+ت+ل+ب+ش

    Looks pretty bad

First ب relates to present tense in Egyptian Dialect
Second ت refers to passive voice
    Third ت refers to pronoun"you"
Finally we have root لبش labbesh=incapacitate=to make somebody/something unable to live or work normally
The passive form is اتلبِّش=to be incapacitated/to be paralysed

    4.
    فى ستين سلامة
guess it is an expression(i have never heard it before)
but literally it means "in 60 of safety "

    5.
    انما =ennama =however ,but
    6.
رعشة =ra3asha=trembling/shivering to shake in a way that you cannot control, especially because you are very nervous, excited, frightened,
    verb اترعش=etra3ash=to shiver,to tremble

    7
    ده بقى الشلل
    ده=dah=this
بقى=ba2a= to remain ,to stay,to become(as verb) but remember this word also fill gaps in sentences
ex: خلاص بقى= it is over!!!شلل = paralysisverb
    شل=shall=to paralyse
    8.
    متضايقة
comes from verb اتضايق=etDaaye2=to become annoyed.
so متضايقة= means annoyed(she) without ("ta marboota at the end) متضايق=means anooyed(he)
    9. جاب
    gaab=to bring ,to fetch something
