Default I can't fully understand the part of lyric in "Craigie Hill"

Here this song "Craigie Hill" sings that:

I'm going to a foreign nation to purchase a plantation,
To comfort us hereafter all in Amerikay.

Then after a short while a fortune does be pleasing,
T’will cause them for smile at our late going away,
We'll be happy as Queen Victoria, all in her greatest glory,
We'll be drinking wine and porter all in Amerikay.
.................................................. ..................

1. to comfort us. Does this mean "to ease our pain suffered before" or "to enable a comfortable life later on"

2. Amerikay. Does this word mean another way of saying "America/USA", or does it suggest a place in Ireland from which the singer comes from?

Thanks in advance!

Let me start by saying that American music is very rarely grammatically correct. As a matter of fact, if one were using it to learn English, you would be in trouble.

Some genres of music are more popular because the use of the language is terrible, and made up, or uses "street" or "slang" terminology.

To answer your questions:

1) hereafter-not a very common term, usually refers to a soul's life after death. In this example, the musician seems to be referring to the time from the present onward.

2) I'm guessing here....Amerikay? Just a musician's made up term for America. First time I've heard it. It must rhyme better with the rest of the song.
