New Here - Lyrics - Your's Truly

Hello everyone I’m basically an anonymous respectful internet nomad who comes up with lyrics from time to time and just wants to have a place to share them.

I’ve been thinking about the lyrics I’ve posted following this for about 6 months and every time I’ve tried to write something after hours of frustration would give up. Tonight I didn’t repeat or revisit my previous attempts, sat down and completely and unintentional had a spark of inspiration and followed it.

I’ve titled it “Your’s Truly” based on the character or human characteristic that is omniscient throughout, the basic premise is we’re all ok as long as we agree.

So without futher ado my spark.

Your's Truly

Her point of view is someone’s sin
She gives and gives for so little to spend
She raises her eyes to the sky
She questions it all not knowing why

He tips his hand and his secret’s revealed
The hammer falls like blood on steel
He takes each moment as the day awakened
He is totally wrong and lives mistaken

Ride on being ridden
Someone knows it all
Better not come forward
Don’t question it at all
Better break or you’ll be broken
Not a martyr under ground
The guitar cries
A vacuum hides the sound

They have their rhyme and reason
Sensible to a fault
They don’t believe in one thing
They have no life at all

Singular perceptions
All paradigms are one
All of us is never
All of us is none

Ride on being ridden
Someone knows it all
Better not come forward
Don’t question it at all
Better break or you’ll be broken
Not a martyr under ground
The guitar cries
A vacuum hides the sound

We have our congregation
We rise with dedication
We are the backbone of the nation
And the rest of you are wrong
