dada - moon / I need an interpretation
The night before the moon died you realized
The flowers that you picked
Ya kept locked away
Were never to be seen by naked lovers' eyes
The night before the moon died you realized
The night before the moon died
You had your chance to make it right
You never did
You never did, oh no
Take your car right outta gear
And send it over to the sea
Touch your fingers to that water
And put your hands to your face
The night before the moon died you realized
You lost this one now, girl
The night before the moon died
You had your chance to change your mind
You had your chance to make it right
You had your chance to save your life
You never did, oh no
You never did, no no
You never did (no, no, no, no)
You never did (no, no, no, no)
You never did, goodbye
No, no, no, no (see you around now, girl)
No, no, no, no (seen it all before)
No, no, no, no (life's been blown away)
No, no, no, no (you finally hit the ground)
No, no, no, no (there's nothin' left for you)
No, no, no, no (goodbye, goodbye, yeah)
hoo, hoo
(solo)
You had your chance to change your mind
You had your chance to get it right
You had your chance to save your life
You never did

hi lollipop,
no I was rather looking for an interpretation of this song, e. g. what the singer is singing about. (hope I am in the right forum)
As far as I could understand, he sings about a girl he loves, but she decides herself against him (and so does wrong in his eyes). Is that right???

Ohh, my bad, i'm sorry... Of course you are in the right place
I understand, that this song is about a girl, who is depressed and has too much problems, and she gives up too quickly instead of facing and solving them. She chooses death instead, driving to the sea.

do you think she commits suicide? now that I read the lyrics again I guess you are right.
but I still don't understand the verse "the night before the moon died". is this kind of a metaphor for the dead girl?

Well, that one i wonder myself too.
But sometimes the lyrics are written only, to make "effect", if you know what I mean. As this verse "The night before the moon died" is somewhat mysterious and catchy phrase to put in a song. Maybe it is just a beautiful sentence...
But this is only my opinion really, as you see yourself, I'm not THAT good in English, maybe this verse really has a different meaning too
Or...maybe it means, like "The night you have let it to get so far, that there was really nothing more to save".
Like if you let things to get out of hand so much, that everything collapses, and the inevitable will come, and you are at a point, where it does not matter what you do or say, because it would not help anymore; it already is irrecoverable/irreversible...

Now I see you Turkish delight
These lyrics are some sort of metamorphozis and regret combined with anger and pain fullfiled with love
I know I'm short in explanations sometimes. But better said, it's an amalgam of feelings ended with an ... end ? Ne din everything but a rebirth of another

Great lyrics, i agree with lollipop's interpretation.
I guess the girl was too afraid, to face her fears.
