Is anybody else extrememly pissed off by the lack of black metal lyrics? Honestly, I've been searching for atleast an hour trying to find the words to some Gorgoroth songs, but they all say "deleted by request". People come on. I can understand if the lyrics offend you, but nobody is forcing you to read them so why make things harder for the rest of us? America is just the same as it has always been; the majority of its population is afraid of what is different from them.

Black Metal musicians dont include lyrics because they want th listener to interpret the lyrics for themselves. Its pretty funny that you want to know the lyrics to Gorgoroth, theyre probably all the same (about tearing down christianity).
thanks for settin me straight.
and for you who said thrash was better, it's only a matter of opinions. i personally prefer black metal over thrash, that doesnt mean its better though
Headliners of the black metal scene claimed responsibility for inspiring (if not necessarily perpetrating) over 50 arsons directed at Christian churches in Norway from 1992 to 1996[9]. Many of the buildings were hundreds of years old, and widely regarded as important historical landmarks. The most notable church was Norway's Fantoft stave church, which the police believed was destroyed by the one-man band Burzum (Varg Vikernes, aka "Count Grishnackh"[10]). However, Varg would not be convicted of any arson offences, until his arrest for the murder of Øystein Aarseth in 1993 (see below). The cover of Burzum's EP Aske (Norwegian for "Ash") portrays a photograph of the Fantoft stave church after the arson; it is still unconfirmed whether or not he took this picture himself.
Yes a lot of the bands wern't actually satanic (such as Venom) but a lot were, like King Diamond of Mercyful Fate (oh yes) and they inspired a lot of bands to write stuff about reituals and church burnings, etc.
Thrash metal in it's infancy was about having a good time, drinking and getting wrecked... Bands wrote a lot of songs about who they were and odes to their fans:
ANTHRAX - Caught In A Mosh
METALLICA - Whiplash, Battery
EXODUS - Bonded By Blood
then the bands wrote stuff more into everyday life (apart from Anthrax who continued to write classy songs about Judge Dredd ('I Am The Law'), and at least 2 decent covers (Joe Jackson's 'Got The Time' and the groundbreaking 'Bring Tha' Noise' with Public Enemy), lest we forget their rap track 'I'm The Man' and the country tinged 'Starting Up A Posse').
Personally... In my at least 14 years of thrash metal loving on this Earth, I've come to love the following bands:
Sepultura
Anthax
Testament
Exodus
Nuclear Assault
Pantera
Machine Head
Vio-Lence
Slayer
Stormtroopers Of Death (S.O.D.)
Xentrix
and now with the new breed of bands:
Evile (Yorkshire, UK)
Municipal Waste (Rishmond, Virginia, USA)
Speedtheory (Birmingham, UK)
SevenYearsDead (Manchester, UK)
I've also been in several bands with black metal overtones.
Personally, to give me your opinion instead of asking me why I put my last post is more ignorant than I could ever be accused of being.
Gimme a break. When you stereotype a specific genre of metal, it sounds ignorant. Especially when you only cite a couple of bands out of the millions there are out there. Metallica, Exodus, Testament, Vio-Lence, Nuclear Assault, all of these bands wrote a majority of even their early lyrics about things other then drinking and having a good time. Even Municipal Waste (Who are Crossover anyway) write songs about things other then partying.
Wow, I didn't know that bands write things OTHER than partying... I'm so glad you told me this </sarcasm>
Now, if you'd like to grasp reality for a minute and smell the sulpher.
I have been into metal for along time, listened to it, bought it, studied it, lived it, loved it... I understand that people write about reality, Megadeth do it, Metallica do it, Anthrax do it, frig, Machine Head did it very well with 'Aesthetics Of Hate'... All you seem to be doing is reading "partying" and seeing my entire post as "AL DESE BND DU IS PARTI N DRINK LOLLLZ" when I haven't said that, I said that was one of the main attributes to thrash metal: It was fast, it was fun and most bands wanted to have a good time at the gigs and wanted the fans to have a good time whereas black metal gigs were more like a cult.
Jesus, I really hope I don't have to justify my knowledge of metal to everyone who comes on here, it's depressing... Might have to start listening to Papa Roach...
Also, I find it ironic that a person whos name comprises of two Accadacca songs can't understand the premise of the band... HAVING A GOOD TIME!!
Im not saying that you have no knoledge of metal or arent a 'real fan', I really couldnt give. Im just saying that Thrash metal isnt just "a bunch of Americans screaming about having a good time' because its not. However, if your talking about Thrash metal CONCERTS, then I would agree with you (except about the American part). I just assumed you were talking about lyrics, because this is a forum about lyrics.
1. I'M talking about AC/DC because you're going on about rock and metal bands only talking about having a good time in their early days when AC/DC went on about it near enough all the time... And you haveing two Accadacca songs as your name and all, seemed a little hypocritical and ironic to me.
2. I was talking both EARLY lyrical and also in the shows that they went for the good time approach:
The lyrics were about who the bands were and having a good time and the bands live wanted the kids to have the best time possible so they kept it safe.
3. I don't give a... if you don't give a... I am a cool as s**t guy but if you call me ignorant with my statements about something I give my life to, I will answer you back... Granted as given... I'm not aa child, I don't act like one and I really don't expect to be treated like one... If we can get along that's fine but like I say, you can call me what you like but please don't question me on metal...
