Unhappy Please help me find these lyrix!

I need the lyrics and the name of the band. They were a 70s Soul/R and B band. This song was released in the 70s. It was in the top 10 and constantly received radio airtime. This is as much of the lyrics as I know:

"I'm looking for a love. I'm looking for a love.
I'm searching here and there, and everywhere,
And I'm lookin', I'm lookin', I'm lookin' for a love,
    Oh, ..................

From the album of the same name.

    (Background throughout)
    (I'm lookin' for a love)
    (I'm lookin' for a love)

    I'm gonna find
    I've got to find someone

    I'm lookin' for
Everyday I'm lookin' for a love
    Well I'm
And I'm lookin' here and there
    And I'm searching everywhere
    And I'm lookin'

Someone to get up in the mornin'
    And rub my head
    Someone to fix my breakfast
And bring it to my bed
Someone to do a little housework
    And back with me again
    Yeah
With lots of love and kisses
    And ????
    But right now oooooh
I'm lookin' for a love, yes sir
    Everyday of my life
And I'm lookin' here and there
    And I'm searching everywhere
    And I'm lookin'
    I'm lookin'
    I'm lookin'
    I'm lookin'

    I'm lookin' for
    I'm lookin' for
    I'm lookin' for
    I'm lookin' for
    Oh yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah
She might be over here somewhere
    I'm gonna find her

    Come and get it
    I'm lookin' I gotta find a love
    I'm just lookin' for
I'm just gonna keep on lookin'

    I'm lookin' for a love
I'm gonna find her oh yeah
    Gotta keep on lookin'
I need someone to walk by my side
    I've gotta find someone

Question RE: Please help me find these lyrix!

Thanks for the Bobby Womack lyrics. Those are indeed the lyrics that I'm searching for. However, he was not the first to sing them. I spent 6 (count 'em!) hours on the 'Net yesterday, and I finally made some progress, but I still haven't been able to hear the original song, or download it from I-Tunes or any other music website. Here's what I was able to glean:

A song with a matching title was written by songwriter Charles Thomas. It was recorded by The Commodores, and released as a single in 1974. In the U.K., it was released as a single by Tamla-Motown Records in November, 1974. It was released as the flip-side on a 45 RPM single record. The A-side was The Commodores single, "The Zoo (The Human Zoo)."

But I still want to find and download this Commodores version. Still need help!

    Thanx Everyone!

    Well,
The Real name of the song is "Lookin' for a love" written by
    J.W. Alexander/ Z. Samuels

    Hope that helps :0)

( that's what it says on my old albums anyway)

    Ok.
Looks like Alexander was one of three founders(with Sam Cooke and S.R. Crain who formed a record label in 1959 called SAR ( for Sam ,Alex, and Roy)

Cooke also owned Kags Music Corporation which published the songs these guys wrote.

Bobby Womack used to play with family members in a band called the Valentino's who recorded this song on the SAR label.
If you scroll down on the second link you'll see that song on the second disc.
