Default L-O-V-E multilingual version

Is anyone famimliar with Nat King Coles' version of L-O-V-E which is in, I believe, French, German, Portugese, and Japanese? My question is, I know some German and French, but the lyrics don't seem to make sense. Does anyone know if he took great liberties with this song, and how his version actually translates into English? I've learned it phonetically, but I have no idea what I'm saying.

I've seen the French, German and Portugese translations of this song that are close to the English version, and it's nothing like what Nat is singing.

Smile L-O-V-E English Translation

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore can

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore can

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you

Does this help ?

If we get a chance to listen to the multilingual version we could tell you.. Concerning the German version I only found a small sample consisting of music mainly so this was no real help...

Thumbs up L.o.v.e

That's it...the lyrics, at least in French, coincide to those that have been translated to English......

Congratuts to all.....!!!

I think we are replying a bit late, but...

I was able to hear the song here. The Japanese part goes:

Love wa sekai no kotoba
Love wa futari no takara
Ai shi aeba ashita mo akarui

"Love is the language of the world
Love is the treasure of couples
If we love each other, tomorrow will also be bright"

I don't know any of the other languages used in the song...

But interestingly, I found that the Japanese group SMAP did a cover of this song. The video's here.

I found the other lyrics, but no translations - it goes French, German, Spanish, Italian, then Japanese:

Toi qui ne m'avais rien repondu
Je sais que tu ne m'avais pas cru

Doch, seid ein paar tagen,
Brach' ich nicht mehr nach zu schlagen,
Denn, ich lieb' nur dich allein

Quiero que me expliques por favor
Lo quien sera la palabra amor (?)

So che non no nulla da desiderare [?],
Perche per me tu sei la sola donna [?]

The second Spanish line didn't sound like it matched up with the lyrics, so I wrote what it sounded like to me, except I think it's wrong. And at the end of each Italian line, it sounded like there was an extra syllable that wasn't transcribed, so there might be something missing there too.

Maybe this will make it easier for someone to come in and translate! All I (think) I know is the first Spanish line says, "I want you to explain to me please..."

lol I'm enjoying this song.
