hmmmmm i like it - it has promise , especially the chorous just on the last part of the chorus you could just say Well at least i was honest with myself (with myself) so it would be like an echo so the word "myself" would stick . try that
and watever lacks in the writing can be made up for in the melody - like if you listen to some songs - they dont make as much sence when we just say it , but if we say it with a melody we "get" it ..
