Home Sweet Home Blues

Your heavy heart and this god damn town,
all out of heroes and so full of clowns.
Some get by but the rest just try to
stop your world from turning around.

Litter and drugs and double yellow lines,
spy cameras record our life and crimes.
Supermarkets come and local markets close.
Every little helps - now hit the road.

Leaping over cars in my old air Jordans.
Crashing through the traffic lights and cops.
Not the best but at least I've been heard of,
even if I wind up getting shot.

Sucker punch rules and these London streets.
All the friends you'll never get to meet.

Their walk on part in this war on class
is not enough to make us trust the past.
So spiders spin and the holymen dream
of back when love was built to last.
