i grew up as a young lad without a dad...
many days i felt sad and even mad.....

but nowadays i count the many blessings that i have....
mamma presented opportunities that i would grab.....

pushed me....but not physically....
towards a field (football)

where it led me to hone a certain skill....
that would eventually pay my college bill...
then i committed the sin out burnin out my no...strils.....

a sickening disease i brought home....made my mamma ill...
she suffered through some pain, while trying to conceal....
her son was really ill...steel bars...they didn't stop me.....
from tryin to win back ya'll......
the battle of my body...

then i witnessed a man...i called daddy(grandpops)..on an I.V.
pumped full of morphine..ya know what i mean....

but here i am...
sometimes Up,
sometimes down..
so say lost
but GOD says i have been FOUND.......
